The evening. The best part of any day. This night inparticular was beautiful, which inspiried Ken to go out for a run. The air was crisp, and the wind blew so slightly that it made one feel as if they were posing at a photo shoot. Ken streched well, as he didn't want to pull anything. At the park, there was no track, or anything to run around, but there was a small path that Ken could lap once or twice. However, he decided to sit on a swing and swing for a bit. The night was young, he could run later.

Ariella couldn't sleep. She wasn't sure why. She just couldn't, so she got out of bed and quickly pulled on some jeans and a t-shirt. She slipped out of her house quietly and instantly got a splinter in her bare foot. "Crap," she said softly while she limped over to the front porch stairs. She sat down and used her fingers to feel for the splinter and get it out. After she had disposed of the splinter, she pulled on a pair of soft moccasins. She left them outside just for the purpose.
Ariella stood up again and started walking down her front path. For a moment, she thought about waking up Carrot to take him for a ride. She discarded this thought when she saw what a beautiful night it was. The stars were so bright around a big full moon. She smiled faintly to herself and started walking again, heading to the park.

The air was very cool, and the night sky was so beautiful it almost brought tears to Ken's eyes. How could there be people in the world who want to pollute this beautiful sky? Ken thought as he jumped off the swing and removed his sweater, revealing his white undershirt and black shorts. He couldn't beleive this night was being wasted by people sleeping. Taking a seat on a nearby bench, he breathed in the night air. The moon was beautiful, the stars were bright. The tranquil feeling nearly put Ken to sleep.

Ariella made it to the park and started walking down the path. It was a cool night, and she wished she had bought a jacket or something. She shivered slightly and ran her hands up and down her bare arms, trying to keep warm. She walked past a bench with someone sitting on it. She found it odd that someone besides herself was awake. "Um, hi," she said to the guy. "Do you mind if I sit here?" She pointed to the empty bit of her bench. She was kinda cold and just wanted to sit down for a moment and look up at the beautiful sky.

Ken was awoken from deep thought by what couldn't have been anything less then a goddess. When he looked at her perfectly illuminated in front of the moon, Ken could have sword that she was an angel. "Oh, uh.. yeah, no, yeah you can sit here." Ken said, stumbling over his own words. Breaking away from his daze, he noticed that this fine lady was rather cold, it was a cool night after all. "Hi, I'm Kenneth Maxwell, but you can call me Ken if you like. You seem kinda cold, want a sweater?" Ken asked, holding out his sweater he had taken off before.

Ariella sat down on the bench next to the boy who quickly introduced himself. She gave him a small smile. "It's nice to meet you, Ken. I'm Ariella Warren, and no thank you, I'm fine." She turned her head skyward to look at the beautiful moon. A sudden breeze caught her long dark hair and blew it behind her. She laughed lightly as it did so and started humming to herself. "It's a lovely night," she said more to herself than to Ken.

"Ariella, huh. That's a pretty name." Ken thought for a moment. "It means 'Lion of God,' I guess that means you're someone important, or will be. I can see it." Ken stuck his back and looked at the sky, the wind lightly blew on Ariella's hair. She was beautiful. As beautiful as the sky. "You're right though... it IS a lovely night. But what brings you to the park, if you don't mind me asking."

Ariella blinked her eyes in a clueless fashion when he said her name meant Lion of God. "Does it really? I never knew that." She gave him a warm smile before turning her head skyward again. "Oh, I couldn't sleep, so I decided to come out here instead. She sighed aoftly. "What about you? What are you doing out here so late?" She shivered slightly after she said this. "You know, I think I will take that sweater if you're still offering."

Ken lifted the sweater of his left shoulder and handed it to Ariella. "Here you go. Can't have a pretty girl catching cold on my watch." Ken thought for a second about why he was out here. The night was beautiful, the moon was full... it was a perfect night. Made only the more perfect that she was there. "Well, I just came out to enjoy the night... there is something about it that just excites me. But whatever the reason I came doesn't matter, the reason I'm still here is because of you." Ken said, smiling to the sky.

Ariella rolled her eyes at Ken's comments. They were such smarmy, cliched things to say. She took the sweater he offered her and wrapped it around her shouldders. It was a nice sweater soft to the touch. She then looked at Ken, smirking slightly, thinking about something. She had had so much drama in her life lately. All she wanted to do was have fun. She was really just a teenage girl after all, and girls just wanted to have fun. "You know," she said slowly. "There are other ays to warm a person."

Ken was kinda put off by Ariella's last comment. But he was a teenage boy... and teenage boys just wanted to have fun. He smoothly wrapped his arm around Ariella and smiled, "Oh yeah, like what?" He said slowly and suggestivley. He pulled her in slowly.

Ariella gave Ken a small smile when he put his arm around her and started to draw her closer. "Well, there's lots of things," she said innocently. "Like holding a person or kissing them or sometimes tickling makes you warmer." She smiled at him gently innocently. She wasn't complete sure what was going to happen next, but she hoped it was something exciting.

Ken could take a hint. Kissing didn't seem like a bad idea, now did it? Who looks at kissing and says "Ew, why would I do that." Creeps, that's who. At least, that's what Ken wanted to beleive. He leaned in slowly until he was milimeters from this beauty's lips, his hands creeping up to her sides. Eheheh, Ken laughed to himself, and smiled lightly. Then, he started twichting his hands, tickling Ariella. Kissing can wait, who doesn't love a good tickle?

Ariella thought he was going to kiss her until she felt his hands twitching along her sides, tickling her. She started to laugh and shake uncontrollably. Ken's sweater fell from around her shoulders while she twitched and squirmed. "Stop," she managed to pant out in between fits of giggling. She tried to reach up under his arms to tickle him back, but she was laughing too hard. She started to slide down off the bench, trying to get away from Ken's tickling fingers.

Ken had heard Ariella say stop, and was always a gentlemen. But the sight of a smiling goddess is one that is too rare to end so soon. Ken tickled a little longer just to see Ariella's smile. When she started sliding off the bench though, Ken caught her with one hand, and pulled her back onto the bench, smiling. He'd finished tickling. "Warm now?" Ken smiled.
