Ace arrived at the Olive Garden parking lot. It was still daytime, but that would be over in about 3 hours, and he had to hurry up. No valets, d**n! Ace said, but then again, he was pretty sure they wouldn’t have been able to park his motorcycle in a tux, and then walk back. Oh, the amount of chafing that would cause, not to mention the rash that would stick with them for a while. The real reason he was here wasn’t to criticize the workers here, but he felt he owed a apology to Ariella. Earlier, he called up a friend that was at school and had them leave a note in Ariella’s locker. The note had just informed her to meet him here at this time, and his phone number was listed just incase she wasn’t able to come and needed a ride.
He walked up the steps of the gorgeous beachside restaurant, and walked up to the waiter. “Table for two, please. And could it be outside? I like the sun.” He said, taking out his wallet. The waiter nodded, and began….well, whatever he was doing. He pulled out two menus and pointed Ace to a red table in the back. So it wasn’t pay first, eat later. Ace liked that. He sat down, and began to watch the beach in all its marvelous beauty as he waited on his date.

Ariella arrived at the Olive Garden at the time the note had told her to be there. She looked around her quickly, but she didn't see Ace anywhere. He must be inside, she thought to hersel and started walking towards the entrance. She was kinda dressed up for the coke date, but not so much that she looked too sexy, just like a sixteen-year-old should look on a date. She was wearing a pair of black jeans and black high heels on her feet. She was also wearing a white tank top that hugged her curves. She wasn't trying to look sexy, but several boys turned their heads to look at her. She rolled her eyes and kept walking.
She made it past the door and looked around. Still no Ace. Wait! There he was sitting at an outside table. She told the waiter that she was meeting Ace and he escorted her to the table. She sat down across from Ace and gave him a small smile. "So, Mr. McCloud, what do you want to tell me?"

Ace watched the beach with a almost mysterious expression. He had been thinking of what to tell Ariella when she got here. Hopefully she had dressed snappy just as he did. A baby blue shirt that fit his muscular body just perfectly, and it was neatly tucked into faded blue jeans. Okay, it wasn’t snappy, but it still looked good. Then he heard a voice that made him jump, but slightly. So slightly, that he was sure no one else saw it. He looked up, and saw that Ariella had taken the seat opposite of him. She was pretty, and dressed even better than he was. He smiled, and leaned forward.
“Hey. I’m so sorry for what happened earlier.” He said, with a small smile. He looked around and saw that most of the boys were looking their way, but then their dates caught them and caused quite a scene. It was amusing however. The old Ace would have loved to have a girl like that, and he did, but he had changed. Or so he thought? Had he? If he had, he wouldn’t have kissed her earlier.

Ariella blinked a few times, not sure she understood what he was saying. "Sorry for what? We just kissed." She shrugged her shoulders in a careless sort of way. She took a roll from the basket on the table and buttered it. She started to eat it slowly because she was pretty hungry. "So are you paying for my meal or am I?" She opened the menu and started looking at the things to eat. "Ooh, they have potato soup," she said happily when she spotted it. She really liked potato soup.

“I…” Ace sighed, then hurried it up, “have a girlfriend.” He said it fast, hoping that she didn’t hear it and that she heard it at the same time. He knew that he was probably going to get slapped, but thankfully he got her a piece of jewelry too. Girls like jewelry, so he figured, why not? He was going to give it to her later, whatever the outcome of this conversation was. “And yes, I’m going to pay, so don’t be modest and order whatever you want.” Ace smiled, he was still partially a ladies man. “And potato soup is tasty.”

Ariella gave Ace a small smirk. "Yay! twenty dollar lobestor!" She gave him a look, smiling innocently. She looked back at the menu still smirking. Suddenly, something clicked oin her brain. She hadn't really understood what he had said before because he had said it so fast, but now it was sinking in. She looked at him over the top of her menu, trying to decided what to do. Should she just pretend she hadn't heard him or what? Slowly, she picked up the roll she had been eating and threw it at him. She closed her menu with a snap and glared at him. "Then what were you doiing kissing me?"

Ace laughed, “Go ahead. Whatever you want.” She looked pretty when she smiled, Ace figured. She then turned her head downwards to look at the menu, still smiling. Then, something crept onto her face. A expression, but Ace couldn’t make out what kind of expression. He was sure she heard him, and now maybe she was fully understanding what he told her. Here it comes. And by it, a roll. He caught it, thanks to his reflexes, though he knew he shouldn’t have. He should have let it hit him, he should have let her take out all her anger. “Because…” Ace closed his eyes before continuing, “Because it felt right. I’ve kissed my girlfriend before, but nothing like this has even happened.” He moved his chair closer to hers, eyes still closed. He was subconsciously aware of everything going on, “I don’t know,” Changing his voice into a whisper, “But…I’m sorry.” He still didn’t open his eyes, prepared to let whatever she threw at him, hit him.

Ariella moved swiftly and within seconds her lips were against Ace's. She pulled back after a minute still glaring at him. "I hope that felt right enough for you, Ace McCloud, because that is the last kiss you'll ever recieve from me." She picked up another roll, buttered it, and took a bite out of it. She didn't want to be here anymore, didn't want to look at his face. He had made her cheat with him, and she didn't even know it. She took another bite of the roll, furious anger pulsing through her bloodstream. She wanted to leave, but she also wanted him to explain.

Ace felt her lips against his, and as he was about to return the kiss, she moved away. He swore mentally. Peeking, he saw that she was eating, and he thought he might as well explain. He moved his chair closer, until they were right in front of each other, “Ariella, That did feel good. Very good.” He said, headed lowered, “And the truth is, I…cant call it love, but a deep….like…” He smiled, even though he knew she couldn’t see it. At least he was telling the truth, and not being pelted by bread rolls.

Ariella so wanted to slap Ace, but she didn't want to cause a scene, so she just sat there, eating her bread. She was so furious yet at thesame time mysteriously attracted to the idea. She didn't quite know why this was. Maybe because Ace had that whole dangerous air about him. She took another bite of the roll while she listened to him talk. "So the question is who do you like more?" She gave him another look.

Ace raised a eyebrow before answering. “Who do you think?” He whispered. Getting up, he took out the piece of jewelry from his pocket. “Hope you like it. I don’t know if you like jewelry or not.” He turned around, and went for the door. Stopping by the door, he gave the waiter a hundred dollar bill, and said, “Let her get whatever she wants, and the rest is yours.” he gave the waiter a pat on the back, and walked towards the exit. He knew he lost both girls, but thats exactly what a guy like him gets.

Ariella took the velvet box and opened it. Inside was a beautiful necklace. She closed the box gently just in time to see Ace leaving the resturant. Half of her wanted him gone, but the other half didn't. Suddenly, she was on her feet and racing out the door. "Ace! No! Wait!" She shouted out, wanting him to stop before she broke her neck on her high heels. She really didn't want him to go, not like this.

Ace stopped, as he heard her yell after him. He turned his head only slightly, so that he could see her running towards him. Did she throw another bread roll at me? Or is it bigger this time? He couldn’t help but smiling, but hid it well enough so that no one else saw it. He noticed, from the corner of his eyes, that everyone’s attention was turned towards them. First it was just the males, now the females joined in.

Ariella blushed slightly when she saw that everyone was looking at her and Ace. She gave them a nervous smile as she walked over to Ace who had stopped thankfully. "Ace," she said in a soft voice so none of the people watching them could hear her. "Ii'm only seventeen. I don't want a commitment. I just want to have fun." She gave him a small smile. "We can have fun without being in a commited relationship, can't we? We're just teenagers, Ace. We're not twenty-five." She took his hand gently in hers.

Ace raised a eyebrow. She was older than him by a year. Major setback, most girls didn’t like younger boys, but then again, everyone makes a exception for Ace. He squeezed her hand gently, “Why not?,” He said, planting a kiss on her lips. He didn’t pull away just then, but instead, savored the moment.
