Angelline sighed as she leaned back into his embrace a bit. Her heart was telling her to forgive him, give him another chance. But her mind was telling her to get rid of him. As she fought with the two parts of herself she heard his words and cringed slightly. "I once told you that maybe all we feel is a superficial attraction...your actions may have proved that to me," she whispered, "but I'm willing to give you one more chance Ace." No matter how much hurt I receive for loving a flirt like you, she thought with a sad smile.
She saw Ace preparing to kiss her, but it was at that moment when Ken arrived in the stables. Looking his way she offered a small smile and shook her head. "Hi Ken. Finished riding?" she asked and noticed that his shirt was off. Laughing she pointed at him. "You left your shirt by the Lake? Don't you want to get it? Oh and by the way this is Ace, my boyfriend," she said pointing to Ace.

Ace couldn’t help but smile, as she said she had forgiven him, but it still hurt. “Angel, no, please. Its not superficial, and trust me, I’m not going to let it be.” He wanted those words to be true, but after what he had done, could he himself say that without a doubt? It was hard, but after a while, he told himself that he could. He leaned in even closer, and at that moment, Ken arrived. Instead of landing a kiss on her lips, he landed one on her cheek. He didn’t want to stop. Lips or cheek, it still felt good. Either way, Ken was in the room, and Ace had to say something. Looking over at ken, he waved, “hey.” He simply said. What was this guy playing at? He had on nothing, but his pants. What was his superior motive?

"I heard shouting, so I was worried and came running." Ken said, eyes fixated on Ace. He was kissing another girl, or so it seemed, and Angelline kept him? It made no sense, but who was Ken to judge. Oh, wait, he was an ass. "So, kissing other girls, Ace?" Ken said with a scowl.

Angelline heard his words, but oddly enough they didn't make her heart sing...it made it ache. Shrugging off the uneasy feeling she focused her attention on one thing and right now that would be the situation she had on her hands. "Thanks for worrying. That was very sweet of you. But I'll go get your shirt. In the meantime why don't you two get to know each other." So saying that she ran from Ace's embrace and jumpd into Shadow's saddle. Tugging on the reins she flew out of the stable a small smirk on her face.
"Let's see what happens between the two of them Shadow," she said whispering into her stallion's ear. The wild horse snorted and ran faster, he really was antsy today.

“Go ahead.” Ace said, stepping to side as Angel left. He watched her gallop off, and when she was out of eye distance, he looked over at Ken, and his shirtless body. It was nothing special, nothing that could make the girls stare, nothing like Ace’s. But still, he couldn’t resist. “Nice body. How long did it take for your muscle to completely deteriorate like that?” And with a wink, “ I’m curious.” He didn’t like this guy, all for the sole reason that he was here with Angel, alone. He knew that she had done this on purpose, but he didn’t mind. He wouldn’t have had it any other way.

"How long did it take you to shove Angelline aside and mack with a new girl, huh, Ace?" Ken walked towards Ace, not scared at all. Pain heals, chicks dig scars was all the was thinking. "You say you love her and yet you hurt her. Idiot."

Ace walked forward as well, saying, “Don’t start with me, kid.” Ace practically spit the words out, showing that he was serious. “What are you doing here anyway?” Ace said, as he removed his t shirt that he was wearing. Not a polo this time, sorry ladies. His muscular body seemed to glow in the stables, due to the rays of sun coming in. He stopped walking, as he neared the middle of the distance between him and Ken. It was all Ken now.

Ken looked at Ace. "I don't think I've ever seen a more selfish kid in my life. Probably the rich boy who makes all his money from mommy and daddy and then thinks he's cool because of it. That no girl is too good for him and that he can do what he wants. You have no soul..." Ken was pissed, "What am I doing here? I'm meeting a friend, nuff said. And if you hurt that friend the way you did before.... Let's just say you'll be tasting some SOLE(Soul) all week." Ken walked closer to Ace.

“Listen, kid. You know absolutely nothing about me. You don’t know what I’ve been through, the hardships that I’ve faced.” Ace was returning the anger, and if this kid didn’t be quiet, he was sure he was going to take him down. “You know what, enough talk. How about you try something, then we’ll see who can talk.” Ace was never a good trash talker, but he didn’t care, it was always the fight that mattered. But the words did help.

"Boo hoo, suck it up buttercup. Everyone has hardships. That is no excuse to bring OTHERS pain." Ken yelled. Maybe I should hit him with the flying head scissors... No one expects the flying head scissors. Ken thought to himself. "It doesn't matter who is stronger. I don't have to fight you to know I'm a better man then you." And with that, Ken turned around and started back towards the exit. He'd had enough...

Ace watched as Ken walked away. Sure, he was backing out of a fight that he had intentionally started, which confused even Ace. If for one moment he thought that this would make him the better man, then he was very wrong. Starting something and then not finishing it, there was no way he could be called a man. The kid was arrogant, pompous, and just had a loud mouth. He knew nothing about Ace, and Ace didn’t care. Ace walked away as well, towards the seat, just to wait on Angel.

Angelline arrived at the Lake and saw Ken's shirt lying on the ground. Laughing at how careless he had been she dropped down to the ground and picked up the shirt. "Come on boy. I think it's time we headed back." Setting the pace at a fast gallop she was able to reach the stables quickly to see Ken walking towards the exit. She felt her stomach clench at the stormy look on his face and sighed.
Jumping off she ran over and handed him his shirt. "Here's your shirt. And I'm sorry you got involved in this. I shouldn't have said anything," she whispered sadly. Looking up at him though Angelline smiled and nodded her head. "But do come again it was fun racing you." With that said she ran back over to Shadow to lead him into the stable and see if she could repair the damage she had caused. I'm really sorry. All I cause is trouble. Maybe I should end this now.

Ken grabbed his shirt, and smiled back. He whispered thank you, but didn't know if Angelline heard him. Turning around, shrugging off the upsetness, he waved at Ace. "Try to keep your lips locked on one girl 'till we meet again!" Ken yelled, and walked away, putting his shirt on. He would be back though, he had to win that race...

Angelline shook her head at Ken's words and made her way over to Shadow's stall. She placed him inside and then walked over to Ace a sad smile on her face. "I'm sorry. I caused you troubles didn't I?" she asked with a small chuckle. "I always seem to do that for those I hold dear," she whispered.

Ace shook his head. “No, it was me that caused the trouble, not you.” He said, turning around. He put a arm around her waist, and moved closer to her. “He’s a good guy, just has problems with his mouth, but overall, I like him.” He moved in closer for the kiss that meant everything to him. The kiss that mattered.
