Glandforth stood at the border, on the Land of Milk and Cookies side, of course. He had been watching the Nightmare Grotto for over 2 hours, wondering what was going on there. Was there innocent people that watched Halloween currently being tortured over there? Or was there actually flowers and birds over there? No, there couldn’t have been. The Nightmare Grotto contained nothing but things that scared people. But birds scared some people, didn’t they? As well as flowers? So that meant there had to have been birds and flowers over there, but what kind? Were they pretty, or just plain hideous? He wanted to find out, but some other day, he promised himself.

Tri-edge was thirsty for a duel... for blood... for pain. He planned on fighting the Nothing.. he planned on fighting September, but he didn't find either. He landed at the border, and notice a rather bulky man, with a sword. A smile came across Tri-edge's face, and he sprout his wings and flew towards him.
"And what are you doing here?" Tri-edge asked, hands clutched to his sword.

“Enjoying the sun.” Glandforth simply said, before turning around. He noticed a human whose hair covered one eye. Only thing wrong, his sword was drawn, and his mind was set on murder. In a split second, Glandforth appeared in front of the man, and in a low, strong voice, he asked, “What about you, handsome?”

Tri-edge smiled. "Enjoying the sun." Saying that, Tri-edge engulfed himself in a dark red aura that signaled his blood lust. "I was thinking about fighting The Nothing... I was thinking about fighting Septemeber... Now I'm thinking about fighting you." Tri-edge's eye burned dark red and the air filled with the smell of blood. This kid may be fast, but that doesn't matter. A fight is a fight and pain is pain. Tri-edge will get what he wants...

Glandforth stepped back as some sort of red aura engulfed this human, a human with a sword. Fighting The Nothing? Fighting September? Fighting him? Who did this amateur think he was? He stood no chance. “You know what?” Glandforth said, putting his hands on his hips, “red looks good on you, and with a few alterations to your hair, hell, I’d lay you.” But then something hit Glandforth, the smell changed. It was fresh just a moment ago, but now it smelled like..blood. There was more to this guy than meets the eye. As a precaution, Glandforth drew his sword instantly.

Tri-edge began to laugh. This kid though he knew what was happening, thought he had the situation under control. With a small waft of his hand, Tri-edge lit the floor between the boy and him ablaze. "Fire... burn, BURN." Tri-edge howled. "My sword howls for blood! The blood of the worthy, the blood of the Nothing," Tri-edge had no need to fight, but who could pass up one? Not Tri-edge. In fact, just for fun, Tri-edge snapped his fingers and lit a tree of fire. Snapped his fingers again and a bird got frozen. As it fell, Tri-edge swiped his sword, and cut the bird not into two, but three. Tri-edge was his name for a reason.

“Nice tricks, handsome. But do you really have what it takes to fight?” And with a grin, he added, “Or are you going to fight any day soon?” He clutched his sword, straining his palms. When, maybe in a few years or so (HAHAH!), this guy decided to strike, it would mean trouble. For him, not for Glandforth, of course not. This guy was flashy, but his magic was nothing special, nothing that impressed Glandforth. What would impress him, however, was how this guy handled his sword, for that is the way to kill one. “The blood of The Nothing? You forget, he has no blood. He is nothing, except for nightmares, of course, you ignorant bastard.”

"You fool. People say he has no blood because no one has cut him. People think he's nightmares because they are scared. What is the Nothing to a man who knows no fear?" Tri-edge yelled, and walked towards the boy. Walking through the fire, Tri-edge swiped at him, horizontally, not expecting to hit.

“You have a point, but then again, if we have no fears, then what happiness do we have?” Glandforth said, taking a step back, narrowly avoiding the guy’s blade. He did it on purpose, only to confuse the other being into thinking that he was a weakling, but he knew it wouldn’t work. The guy had already seen how fast he was, and all Glandforth could do was go along with it. Using his speed, he went to the other side of the flames. “Why do you want to fight me?”

"Don't think you're so special. My blade cries for blood," Tri-edge said, and swiped again, not expecting to hit. "If we have no fears, there is no need for happiness. There will just be the one state of total perfection. To know fear is to know happiness and have that taken away. Happiness is the cause of fear, and fear is the root of happiness," Tri-edge knew he was rambling. It didn't matter. He needed to speak. "All that matters is I will keep on moving, and keep on fighting as long as there are foes to be fought. It matters not which side. Either you can join me, die, or get the hell out of the way."

Glandforth had appeared at the other side of the flames the moment the guy swung. He then said something that made even Glandforth surprised. He ran back over to the guy. “Join you? That sounds like a good idea,” Glandforth said, putting a hand on the guys sword, so he wouldn’t swing again, “But just what are you planning to do? Fight The Nothing? Fight September? Even if that was possible, we’d still have a entire army on both sides to fight.”

Tri-edge grabbed the boys hand and added a slight ice spell to it, just enough so he'd feel the chill. "The size of the armies don't matter. You find a weakness and exploit it. That is all." Tri-edge backflipped away from his enemy, or his ally. "And you are?" Tri-edge finally asked, relaxing his hand from his sword.

Glandorth felt the chill in his hand, but decided not to do anything, as he didn’t want to show a sign of weakness. It was better if he didn’t, because then, this guy might actually be impressed. But then again, who wasn’t impressed with Glandforth? He was nearly the speed of light, and a master swordsman. The guy then back flipped and landed on the other side of the flames. “Glandforth. And I am, now, your ally.” He said, noticing the guys grip had loosened on his sword. “And you are, friend?”

Tri-Edge sheathed his sword... it seemed it would have to wait for blood a little longer. "Tri-Edge," he mumbled. It wasn't his real name, but just what he had been branded with. He knew not even by who. On his arms were Kanji that said "Tri-edge" and the same symbol was engraved on his sword, so that who he is.
"Our plan is unclear now, only to destroy. We are not sided with the Nothing, nor the Sandmen... not yet. Clear?"

Glandforth had already sheathed his sword, when he had ran across to the other side of the flames, so felt no need to bring it out again just to sheath it. “I understand fully, Tri-Edge. Since we’re partners, we should be on first name basis here, okay?”
