September stood on a a rather large rock that was protruding out of the ground. Her eyes were on the border, looking for any signs that something might be trying to cross over. She extended her wings in a menacing fashion as though trying to scare anything away by just looking intimidating. She knew this wouldn't work on most people, but it would to the lesser nightmares... hopefully anyways. She liked to think of herself as intimidating, but only because she knew she wasn't.
She stood there on the rock with her sword loose in its sheath, her fingers ready to grasp the hilt. She didn't think anything was going to happen though. The border just seemed so quiet and still, hardly nothing moved, just the occainsioal branch waving in the breeze. She sighed softly to herself. How long had she been standing here? Not long she knew, but it felt like ages. She was tempted to shift her stance to a more comfortable one, relax her arms, but she didn't. Somehow she knew something was coming.

Wings spread wide and body relaxed, Tane glided along the air currents over the border. It was a relaxing day to just relax and go where the wind took you. Only half paying attention to what he was doing, Tane gave a hellish screech. It was better to screech every now and then than to have his demon half take over. Who knew what could happen?
Twisting his body a little to the right, Tane's right wing dropped sharply, giving him a downward spiral to the ground. His long tail trailed behind him, almost seeming to leave a streak behind his flight. The metallic blue eyes with multiple pupils missed the figure of the angel, standing in a rigid outline upon a rock.

There! September saw something with wings spiraling to the ground. It was unsure which side he was aiming for because the thing had been flying right over the border. She was sure that this thing had been what had caused the demonlike screech she had heard just a few moments eariler. She drew her sword and launched herself into the air with a single strong beat of her wings.
She flew right at the surely demonic being, not bothering to make her presence known or even to give the creature a warning. She was not one to warn Nothing Army. They knew the risk of crossing the border, and she would not feel any regret for killing this nightmare. It was her duty, after all, to slay all nightmares before they got across the border, before they caused any damage. It was one she took rather seriously.

Beginning to tire of the spiraling, Tane tucked in his wings and nose-dived straight for the ground. Just as he was about to create a pool sized crater, Tane flicked his wings out and leaned back. This force caused him to flip once before landing gently upon his feet. Looking up for no apparent reason, Tane saw the silhouette of an angel. Another fallen angel? he asked himself.
The winged beings were beginning to annoy Tane. Could they not leave him in peace for one day? Growling, Tane took hold of his twin silver kamas, spinning them in his hands. The silver, scythe-like weapons were useful against arrows if you were quick enough.

September watched with annoyance while the being landed on the ground and on her side of the border. She followed him down to the earth, but before she got there he sseemed to have noticed her because the being pulled out some sort of weapon. She scowled at this. She really hadn't wanted to fight, but oh well. It couldn't be helped. She landed gracefully on the ground before the being, holding her sword at the ready. "You're on the wrong side," she said fiercely, while she extended her wings in a threatening manner. If this thing didn't quickly hop across the border, she would force him to. She might look small but she was far stronger than she appeared to be.

A low growl escaped his throat as the angel landed. She held a sword ready and pointed a wing at him, telling him that he was on the wrong side. "On the wrong side? I don't think so" he said darkly. Holding both kamas ready, one pointing up near his right hip and the other pointing down near his left ear. Standing his ground, Tane waited for the angel to come first. He refused to attack unless it was self defense.
"Well angel? What are you waiting for?" he hissed. A long forked tongue slipped out of his mouth, flickering in the air. It was one of the changes his darker side had. He would never fully return to what he once was. Clawed toes dug into the ground slightly as if the cling to the land that he rightfully belonged to. Baring his large, razor sharp teeth, Tane's eyes flickered with blue light once in a while.

September lunged forward, heer wings giving her extra balance and speed. Her sword ready to strike when it hit the being. She didn't care what he was. All she cared about was demolishing the threat he proposed. She struck at the being, not bothering to see if she had hit him before dancing away, so she couldn't get hit by his weapons. They looked deadly as well like they could easily rip her head from her shoulders. She made a brief note of that before striking again, using all the force she could muster. She didn't really care how tired this battle made her later on. She only cared that this nightmare didn't have the ability to feel tired later.

Tane was ready for her. As she lunged for he, going for a strike, he battered away her blade with his left kama, springing to the right. Again she came for a strike, and again Tane slapped away her blade. A bright red line made it's way across his right shoulder. She had drawn first blood. A low growl left his throat as the stinging sensation made itself known.
Spinning the kamas in his hands, Tane lunged a her, doing a 360 degree spin before gripping tightly on the handles. He brought the kamas around, attempting to slash at her ribs.

September dodged and blocked one of the weapons, but the other one silced through her robes and punctured her lower right chest. She hissed as she felt blood oozing out of the cut, hoping it wasn't too deep. It probably wasn't. She felt sure she would know if it was. She aimed another blow to this being, but stopped suddenly before she could get through it. She had more weapons than just her sword something she had forgotten in the heat of battle. Quickly, she summoned her strength and power, and soon she was glowing in bright white light. Most nightmares were unable to stand such bright light or it at least annoyed them. She smirked at the demon. "You should not have messed with this angel," she said in a soft yet threatening voice. She then aimed another blow at the being before her, wanting naught more than victory.

Tane was prepared to the block the blow when suddenly she stopped. He eyed her cautiously, watching to see why she had stopped. She set ablaze in a pure white light. Tane's pupils retracted to tiny black dots that swam in his metallic blue eyes. With a low chuckle, he asked "You think light will hurt me?", his voice dark. As she came in for another blow, Tane held the blade high in the strike with a kama, and came in low with the other. If she was slow, he would slice open his organs.

[whisper=Ara]Ew, gross...[/whisper]
September moved swiftly away from the attack, beating her wings to rise a few feet into the air. "Well, if light won't hurt you, what about wind?" She summoned a gust of wind to her and then rolled it into a ball. She then threw the wind ball at the demon. It would act as a bomb on anything it hit, blowing it apart or at the very least knocking him off balence. She summoned another gust to her and started to spin it around herself until she waas at the center of a rather large tornado. "I am September!" She shouted over the howling wind. "Leader of the Sandmeen, and you, demon, will be vanquished." She took a step forward ffrom within the twister and the tornado moved with her.

[whisper=Ariella Warren] Lol, sorry[/whisper]
A large smirk spread across Tane's face. With a gesture as if the shoo away a fly, he knocked September's attack of course with his own wave of aerokinesis. Sucking in a large amount of air, Tane was preparing for his secondary attack. But as the angel spun the tornado around herself and shouted her title, Tane dropped to his knees. He had been fighting the leader of the sandmen all along? "Wait!' he shouted. If he could only tell her he was on her side.

September saw through the swirling wind that the demon had fallen to his knees. Even if he had been hit with the air ball, he would be up by now. How curious, she thought to herself. She knew she should just demolish the creature while she could, but hr curiousity got the better of her. She made the twister vanish with a mere wave of her hand. She looked down at the demon, beating her wings to keep herself steady. "What?" She asked coldly while looking down at him.

Tane breathed a sigh of relief. "You say you are the leader of the sandmen. Therefore, I am under your rule." Hopefully she would believe him. He didn't have much to prove that he wasn't a servant of The Nothing. He looked to the ground, thinking of a way to prove his words. What could he do? Give a blood oath? No, a shadow would spill it's own blood meaninglessly. Perhaps he should show the wounds that the fallen angel Alexis had given him.

September continued to hover high above the demon with her arms crossed in front of her chest. She didn't believe a word the demon was saying. Why should she? He looked exactly like the type of thing that would be in Nothing Army, and he had hurt her. She took a moment to look at the bright red stain on her crisp, white robe. It had stopped bleeding, proving her theory that it hadn't been that deep. She raised her head again to stare at the demon like being on the ground. "Is that a fact?" She asked him coldly. "Or are you hoping to lower my guard and injure me further?"
