Gliding gently over the borderline, Tane was soaking in heat through his darkened wing membrane. The warmth felt good on the tough, scaly skin. A thought popped into his mind as he lazily floated on a wind current. Why, should in the real, they have love when in the dream world it was always fight, fight and more fighting? It didn't seem fair to the large Demonika.
Floating down slowly to wards the ground, Tane touched the scar on his back that the fallen angel had given him. It still hurt a little but he could still fly. Slowly walking, he spotted a small pond. It seemed like a nice place to rest for a while. He walked over to it, dipping in a foot. The water was cool and soothing on his toes. Removing his armor, Tane dived in, leaving a trail of bubbles.

Alexis was in a surprisingly good mood at the moment. It might have something to do with the fact that Angelline's chaotic emotions were giving her a boost in power, or maybe it was the fact that she had killed two more Sandmen and had just recently had a very interesting fight with the demonika Tane. Either way it all added up to the fact that for once Alexis wasn't looking for much of a fight at the moment. Her eyes had even turned back to their normal silver and sapphire shade instead of her more sinister crimson.
Flying through the air she winced and looked at the still healing wounds on her wings. Reaching out she stroked one finger over the healing tissues and growled. "I swear if I find that Sandman he's dead," she muttered. Okay so maybe she was looking for some form of a fight.
Morridon ran on the ground below her and she was stunned when he sent her a message on seeing Tane. Curious she looked around and saw the demonika sitting by a small pond. With a wide grin on her face she flew over and landed on a small rock in the pond. "Hello there. How are you faring?" she asked seeing that his wounds were still healing.

Surfacing, Tane got out and sat on a rock, allowing himself to dry out in the sun. Considering he was still tender in numerous places, Tane was in a relatively good mood. A voice, very familiar caught his attention. Turning around, painfully, a smile crept upon his face at the sight of Alexis. "Well, well, it's Miss Alexis and Master Morridon. I fare well, considering the wounds you gave me. And how fare's you two?" he asked. He noticed that Alexis was still slightly tender on her wings and Morridon still had a limp. "Sorry about the wings. Dreadfully painful spot to hit an angel, so I'm told" he said as he turned back to the pool. It didn't bother him much that she could very well kill him right there and then if she pleased. Ara could just dream up someone similar to him.

Alexis winced as Tane noticed her still tender wings and apparently Morridon's limp. "They're fine, but it's not as bad as your wounds." Somehow she didn't feel like killing him anymore. She didn't know why, but the bloodlust just vanished. Curious as to why that happened she sighed and sat on the rock. A bit bored she looked at Tane and grinned.
Using one hand she motioned for a strong gust of air to make a wave of water that headed straight towards him. "Care for another swim Tane?" Morridon watched the scene unfold with what could be considered a smirk on his face. Lying down on the ground he watched the wave make its way swiftly over to the lying demonika.

Tane gave a gleeful laugh. "I'm glad. They get awfully itching and it pains to scratch them" he said. "Despite the fact that my fingers are clawed" he said, almost as if an after thought.
As the wave came at Tane, he smirked. The wave washed him off the rock and back into the pond. Popping his head out of the water, he shook it rapidly, sending water droplets flying in all directions. "And to think we were attempting to kill each other the other day" he said using a large hand to splash water at Alexis. He disappeared back under the water, frolicking around, waiting for her to come in after him to get pay-backs.

Alexis smirked as the wave washed him back into the water. She let him splash her with a bit of water and laughed her tone of voice oddly cruel. "Oh make no mistake I'm still trying to kill you," she whispered. But the only ones who heard her were Morridon and the wind. "After all if I don't kill you then I get killed myself, and I can't have that now can I?"
Standing up on the rock she took her bow off her back and placed an arrow from her quiver on the string. Eyeing the distance she let the arrow fly, giving it a bit more of a push with the air currents. "It's nothing personal. Just my job and nature," she said her eyes going cold.

Tane didn't hear her say a word of it. He was in the water and it blocked his hearing. Even though demonikas evolved from the water, it had been hundreds of years ago. The arrow came through the liquid, scraping off a bit of skin on his calf. His blood fanned out in the water, giving it a pink tinge. The surface of the water broke out into ripples when his head emerged. "And I was begging to think we could be friends" he smirked.
Climbing out of the water as fast as he could, he turned back around. His armor would only hinder him, as he had learned from their previous battle. Grabbing his Kamas from their loops in his belt, Tane took a starting stance. "Shall we dance?" he asked, a dark look on his dragon human like face.

Alexis smirked as she notched another arrow. "Not a chance. There can never be such an alliance between Sandmen and beings of the Nothing Army. That's just how it is," she said in a monotone voice. Locking down her emotions, a trick she had learned from their last battle, she fired the first arrow and swiftly shot another.
Strapping her bow back in place she took out her shukusen and opened it with a small clacking noise due to the sharp blades on the edge of the fan. "Yes, it's such a macabre dance. But then again there's no other dance quite like it," she said. Morridon stood from his lazy position ready to spring.
Jumping up Alexis spread her wings and spun in the air launching a few of her poisoned daggers at him. Bringing the shukusen down in an arc she smirked as the air sped up the progression of both her arrows and daggers. "I'd like to thank you though for teaching me a few new moves."

Tane nodded at her words. "Indeed, but without each other, both sandmen and The Nothing would not exist. The Nothing would get bored and eventually destroy itself and the sandmen would have no reason to be in the first place."
The arrows and daggers came full speed at him. "Of course. And such a lovely dance it is" he said, slapping away the arrows with his kamas. The miniature scythes were useful for things like this.
Not the daggers again he thought. Moving his largely muscular arms rapidly, he knocked away most of the daggers. One got him just above his right hip, another left a cut along his right cheek.
The shukusen came down at him in an arc. Crossing over his Kamas, he blocked it. Except that it bounced off his kamas and spun down wards, scratching down his stomach in a diagonal line. "No worries" he smirked. Returning one kama to it's loop, Tane held 3 stars, one held between two fingers. Spinning around, he let them fly to wards Alexis and Morridon, using air the speed them in their route.

Alexis watched with blank eyes as the one dagger hit its mark as the others were deflected by his kamas and fell into the pond with a splash. "Pain needs kindness...just as dark needs the light. A phrase my dreamer has given me. She knows the truth...just as you seem to. But I...I'm just here to kill and spread fear. Nothing more...nothing less," she whispered her voice carried to his ears by the winds whipping around due to their fight.
Motioning the shukusen back to her the tiny object spun back to land in her outstretched palm. "Morridon...seek." The panther growled and dove into the water to avoid the stars swimming around he searched for Alexis' daggers as she stood her ground. She didn't even bother blocking them, the only precaution she took was to fold her wings to her body so they wouldn't get hit. The stars hit her straight on with enough impact to throw her backwards.
Snapping her wings open she took to the air staring at the throwing stars. Two were buried in her arms while the third was buried in her hip. Pulling them out she winced at the sharp stab of pain. Smirking Alexis twirled her fingers creating a triangle to form from shadows in front of her. "I hope you like this new attack. I made it especially for you. You can't run from this one." Placing a star at the tip of each point in the triangle she watched as it turned a dark crimson color and started to spin. Clapping her hands the smirk widened as the triangle split. From each one of the points a total of a dozen daggers appeared. Like her shadow clones only one of the stars was the real deal...but her enemies didn't know that.
Rain of Terror
The three dozen daggers fell from the sky all of them headed straight for Tane. "You can't run Tane. The weapon that I use seeks it's master...which would be you. It won't stop until it hits you. How does it feel to have your own weapon turned against you?"

The sound of her voice carried down through the winds. He was getting through to her. "But you have the option to choose your own life. The Nothing is no more than a puppet master. He will destroy you in the end once he has what he wants from you. He will do it Alexis."
He watched as the stars made her fly back wards. It looked painful from where he stood. A triangle? Using my stars? he thought bracing himself for what she was about to do. "How nice. Maybe I should do the same for you" he smirked back. The triangle began to spin splitting up. Lots of daggers came down upon him. Nice he thought.
"How nice of you to return my weapons, thrice folded Alexis. Though I don't like the idea of my own attacking devises turning on me." Crouching lower, Tane folding his wings over the front, hoping that didn't the daggers wouldn't break through. Many thuds echoed off of the membrane as the daggers hit. A few were getting his legs and one managed to get his thigh. It was extremely painful. Once the shower was through, Tane peeked out of his shell. "Very nice Alexis. Using my worse ability against me."
Returning his wings back to their folded position, he noticed the daggers begin to start up again. "What the..." he frowned. The daggers that hadn't got him sprang up, stabbing into places. A grunt of pain echoed out as one stabbed deep into the inside of his left thigh.
"My turn lass" he said. Taking out the remainder of his stars, which numbered 9, he held 4 in one hand and 3 in the other. He began charging light as quickly as possible. Moments later, the stars were glowing as the light stuck to them. Throwing them at Alexis, he used the wind to speed them along. Before they got to Alexis, he used his sonic scream to shatter the stars into tiny, sharp shards of light.

Alexis laughed coldly at his words. "Let him kill me Ara. My existence is a pain. I grow tired. It would be an honor if he killed me Tane," her words were cold, just like her. At that moment Morridon came out of the water, her daggers in his mouth. Spitting them up she caught them in her hand and put them back in their sheaths. "Thank you Morridon."
She watched as he attack hit him, he thought she had only sent one wave, but that was his mistake. "Fools get cokcy Tane. I thought you were smarter than that." Alexis was slowly becoming bored just like last time, but she'd give him a chance. They hadn't even played long enough for her to see him at his strongest.
She watched as he threw his remaining stars at her charged with light. Her eyes widened as he used his sonic scream to shatter them effectively creating a replica of a snow storm made of lights. "Very clever," she mused. Taking out her shukusen she used it to create a cyclone effectively sucking up most of the shards, but a few still flew past to pierce her. Letting out a grunt of pain she closed her eyes as the shards sunk into her skin and the light burned her from the inside out.
Gasping Alexis held out one hand and pushed the cyclone charged with shards of light towards Tane. As soon as she did that she used her pointer fingers to make a symbol in the air, whispering a soft incantation she watched as the symbol darkened to a dismal black and encased her in shadows. As she became one with the shadows she fell to the ground, but instead of hitting it she effectively sank into the ground...at least that's what it appeared.
As a shadow she found the nearest shadow that she could take a hold of...and that happened to be Tane's. Lying in in his shadow she patiently waited for him to let his gaurd down. This is going to hurt you way more than it's going to hurt me.

Tane could sense Ara tossing in his sleep. "Alexis, don't. Ara is too fragile for intercommunication. That's why he made me and not himself."
"And only fools follow the orders of morons" he taunted back. Alexis was toying with him and he knew it. She wanted to see what he was made of. Very well Alexis. I'll show you my full strength he thought. The tornado spun crazily to wards him, his shattered stars in its fingers. Alexis seemed to disappear in the shadows. What is she up to? he questioned himself.
Bringing his hands together, out at arms-length, Tane began sucking in air to the spot between his palms. As he slowly pulled his arms apart, the Grey orb became bigger and bigger. Turning his palms to wards the tornado, he sent the windy orb to the tornado. It bounced the tornado to wards the lake.
Looking around, Tane was beginning to worry about Alexis, despite that she still tried to kill him. Perhaps she had run off? No, she wasn't that quick. The shadows. That's where she was. Gathering up a ball of heat, his shadow lengthened.

Alexis smirked at Tane's words. She knew that if she was able to get his mind off the battle it could give her an opening for a fatal attack.
Patiently she waited and watched as Tane brought his hands together. As the air was sucked into the spot between his hands and became an orb she took mental notes on the process. Since they both shared the same power she could use these moves and manipulate it to fit her strategies. As her tornado was flung at the Lake she thought of a way to use this to her advantage.
Making sure that the tornado was still in motion she turned her attention back to watch Tane. Seeing him gather a ball of heat she felt the shadows lenghten. Knowing that the illusion was at an end she re-emerged from the Shadow. Remnants still clung to her form as could be seen in her black hair, which was usually a bright silver. "Very observant, but I wonder if you were expecting this."
Clenching her hands she watched as her tornado broke apart. The shards of light were still in it so as it broke up the shards went flying in random directions. A good bit of it was headed towards Tane and as he was in front of her he could make a shield. The shards were coming fast helped by the speeds of both her tornado and his grey orb. Smirking she sunk back into the shadows and watched as the shards came closer.

Tane turned his head to see Alexis emerging from the shadows. "Nice for you to 'pop' in again" he smirked. As the clenched her fist, a very loud and disturbing noise caught his attention. Flicking his head back to wards the lake, he saw that the tornado has broken and was now flinging his shards of light everywhere. The tiny things were extremely hard to see, especially since Tane was color blind to the colors that humans saw.
Sounds of darts hitting a dart board were quickly followed by grunts of agony. Tane's body had been infiltrated and paralyzed. That was the irony of his attacks. If turned on him, some could do serious damage to himself, and in this case, immobilize him. Stumbling back wards, Tane, landed heavily against a tree that grew at the side of the lake. Little spot of red were scattered over the front of his body, showing where the shards had pierced his skin. 1 for all. Trying to sit up, Tane coughed up a little blood.
